Describe your music.

ALEX SPEAKING:
I used to think that I was in a metal band. Whenever I'd talk about it with the guys, we'd always come to that conclusion because metal's what most of us listen to most. But more and more these days, I have to question whether we actually fall into that category. Sometimes I think that we have to play heavy songs or we'll start down the path of wretched John-Mayerdom. God only knows we'd all hari-kiri ourselves if that happened. But I don't think that's the case. I think we're all grown up enough to be secure in knowing that whatever our music sounds like, it will sound like us. Sure, we have our softer moments, but the bottom line is we're just not content with the world. We're not the "don't worry be happy" sort, and the music must follow suit. We're all a little emotionally unstable, but I think we're all pretty normal kids, even if we stand out as a group. We're those people who conform to a smaller, more specific group. And hopefully it shows in our music. We like things a little darker and dirtier than most.

The flow of knowledge from one person to another is seldom more than a trickle, but then again, who wants to know what you know? I'd tell you to turn down the valve. Shut it off. Or open it with an axe. Learn fast. If you see them running, keep up; If you see them sneaking, hide.
